Muslim journalist and broadcaster Mehdi Hasan explains his major problem with the New Testament and Oxford Professor Ida Glaser responds. Hasan’s complaint is that the most critical differences between the New Testament and Qur’an on Jesus are all derived from what other people (e.g. Paul or John) said about Jesus, not what Jesus said about himself. He is referring to the Qur’an’s rejection of Jesus divinity and its (perceived) rejection of his crucifixion and resurrection. Glaser replies with candor, grace and honesty.
